found by is an art project transforming the wild ingredients growing around us into inspiring objects.
Throughout the year I've been walking with brilliant forager and chef Flavour Fred on Hackney Marshes. He points out the wild foods growing around us, shares the myths and folklore surrounding them, and shows me how he cooks with them.
I draw the trees, plants, fungi and fruits we find. The more I draw, the more I notice.
Back in my studio in London Fields, these drawings become my ingredients, not to cook with, but to make things people can have and hold. Objects that both record my walks and, I hope, spark conversations about wild food.
In the coming year I'll be going on more walks, drawing and making objects from the seasonal things I find, and making them available here.
Inspired by my winter walks, these greetings cards are the first things I've made. I hope you enjoy them.
